The Four Deisres- on the Yogic path

A short while ago I posted that my teacher, Rod Stryker is now available, at least his teachings are in the book The Four Desires. Unfortunately, at this point only in English but who knows. I have known Rod for many years. It is in part watching his evolution to Yogarupa that has drawn me and continues to inspire me in both practicing and sharing Yoga. Rod has a rare ability to synthesize making ancient teachings both practical and understandable .Available at http://www.amazon.it or http://www.amazon.com

A few months ago when I last saw Yogarupa he suggested that I make a choice where I am putting my energy. Without going into detail, both his teaching and his presence helped me to let go of something . Now, as I read The Four Desires I see how my choices are what creates my life. This book truly illustrates both through example and exercise how Yoga is more than asana and how the principles which are universal, show each of us individually our own path and also some directions as to how to walk, or run or dance along that path to our destiny rather than being stuck along the way in a forrest of doubts and old ideas of who we are or who we’re supposed to be.  In fact, I found that I was trying really hard to achieve something that I no longer want.  Wow, what a relief to let go so that I can celebrate and discover new possibilities in the infinite unfolding now.

Yoga is sharing and I want to share this book with you . I will continue to study and practice these principles so as to be a clear reflector and guide but I encourage you to get this book, read it and do the exercises. In fact, if I can help support you in the last part, I am here.   We’ve just been talking about Tadasana, standing mountain pose and the aspect of preparing to ‘climb the mountain’ as a metaphor to obtain that which we desire. That desire itself, can help guide us if we learn to listen deep inside and align with our deepest desire. What is that? For all of us I think it is to fulfill our destiny and be happy, joyous and free to share enthusiastically without fear that which comes from the source as our individual unique expression in the spectrum .  Remember that creative force of life is eternally revealing and . Be bright…. be light… be yoga now.
